I watched this group of grazing zebras for some time and could see they were merging in a line, Ngorongoro

It is unusual to see hippo far from water in the middle of the day – they normally only emerge to feed at dusk/after dark. This bull was probably searching for a new stretch of water – the gaping wounds on his right flank suggest he may have come off 2nd best in a territorial dispute.
